The Plainville classroom students have multiple disabilities, ages 13-21. Our highly structured classroom provides individualized educational and vocational programming and is community based. It is located inside the Middle School of Plainville, CT. The students are able to participate in community programming such as shopping, laundry, recycling, and more.
In the classroom, the students work on language arts, math, science, and social studies. They also learn vocational tasks including laminating and shredding. The Plainville Classroom places a strong emphasis on helping our students to increase their independence with real life skills, in order for them to be as independent as possible in their daily lives.
